The SSDC10 StepSERVO Drives are the closed-loop versions of our well established, high performance, microstepping step motor drives. By incorporating closed-loop servo control algorithms in these drives and pairing them with StepSERVO Motors with high resolution encoders, we are able to create StepSERVO systems with performance that greatly exceeds conventional step motor performance. Peak torques as much as 50% higher; smoother, quieter operation; and lower power consumption are just some of the benefits of StepSERVO Drive and Motor systems.
The SSDC10 can be powered by supply voltages in the range 24 to 70 VDC, with a recommended supply voltage of 48 VDC. See Related and Recommended Products below for compatible power supplies.
StepSERVO Drives are compatible only with StepSERVO Motors from Applied Motion. See Related and Recommended Products below for the motors that are compatible with this drive.
Each SSDC drive comes with 8 digital inputs, 4 digital outputs, and 2 analog inputs. The digital inputs accept signals of 5-24 VDC and can be used for connecting end-of-travel limit switches, PLC outputs, sensors and other signal types. The digital outputs can be connected to PLC inputs, counters, lights, relays and other devices. The 2 analog inputs accept 0-5, 0-10, ±5 or ±10 volt signals, and can be used as an additional sensor input. Differential encoder signal outputs are also available from the drive.
There are four different communication options to choose from, as shown in the table below. All SSDC10 drives offer stored program execution using Applied Motion's Q Programming language, though only -R and -IP models can execute stored Q programs stand-alone. The -C and -EC models can only run stored Q programs as instructed by a CANopen or EtherCAT master, respectively.
