When Zappos.com needed an interactive display for their traveling Friends with Benefits Road Show, they turned to the creative design experts at VT Pro Design to answer the call. The road show is a way for the online retailer to reach out to its customer base and do good for the community. At the center of the show sits a large, interactive display made by VT Pro Design and powered by StepSERVO™ Integrated Motors.

The employees of Applied Motion Products, Inc. would like to congratulate Dennis Joyce, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, on being elected to the 2017-18 Board of Directors for the Motion Control & Motor Association (MCMA). Dennis has over 20 years’ experience in motion control and industrial automation. We are confident that the leadership and expertise Dennis brings to Applied Motion Products on a daily basis will prove equally beneficial to the goals of the MCMA.

At Applied Motion Products we love machines of every type. Most days we feel like we’ve seen it all, but occasionally we’re surprised by something new and different. The latest project by artist Neil Mendoza is one of those occasions.

As part of our commitment to quality and durability in our products, we often use life testing as a means of determining how our products will survive when subjected to extended periods of stress or adverse conditions. In the case of motors intended for use in the splash zone, we wanted to do more than just subject them to the 15 minutes or so of high pressure spray required to achieve the IP65 rating. We wanted to see how our motors would fair when subjected to an extended period of water being splashed on them.
