  • New Product - SSDC StepSERVO™ Drives

    Applied Motion Products introduces the SSDC Series of StepSERVO™ Drives that offer more digital inputs and outputs (I/O) than its integrated motor counterparts, such as secondary encoder inputs for dual position-loop control. SSDC StepSERVO Drives are separate, non-integrated drives that, when paired with existing StepSERVO Motors, can reduce replacement costs for individual motors and provide convenient wiring options for users with sufficient space in control cabinets.

  • Land Purchased for New Corporate Headquarters

    Applied Motion Products is excited to announce that we have purchased land to build new corporate headquarters in Morgan Hill, CA, located in Santa Clara County at the southern tip of Silicon Valley. The new headquarters will consolidate all U.S. operations (now conducted in two separate buildings in Watsonville, CA) including production, warehouse, operations, engineering, customer service and executive management in one location for greater efficiencies and synergy among the different departments.

  • ODVA Conformance for EtherNet/IP-enabled Drives and Integrated Motors

    A range of servo drives, stepper drives and integrated motors from Applied Motion Products conform to the ODVA specification for EtherNet/IP communications. The ODVA Conformance program mandates that vendors use a common network interface to ensure interoperability with products from other vendors. Products must pass rigorous testing by an authorized Test Service Provider before being declared ODVA conformant.

  • Dual-Port Ethernet Now Available on NEMA 24 Integrated Motors

    We are pleased to announce the release of two new NEMA 24 frame integrated motors with dual-port communications. The SWM24IP-3DE Integrated Stepper and TXM24IP-1DG StepSERVO™ Integrated Motor provide two M12 connectors for connecting to the industrial Ethernet network of your plant or machine. The ability to have two connectors on each axis instead of just one permits more efficient network topologies such as line networks and daisy-chain connections.

    Applied Motion Products is excited to announce that Lane Andrews has joined our Application Engineering team. Lane recently graduated with a B.S. in Mechatronic Engineering from California State University, Chico, where he developed his interest in motion control programming and the optimization of automated systems. The addition of Lane into our Application Engineering department is a sign of the recent growth at Applied Motion as we continually strive to strengthen support services for our customers and sales channel partners.
