A range of servo drives, stepper drives and integrated motors from Applied Motion Products conform to the ODVA specification for EtherNet/IP communications. The ODVA Conformance program mandates that vendors use a common network interface to ensure interoperability with products from other vendors. Products must pass rigorous testing by an authorized Test Service Provider before being declared ODVA conformant.
Applied Motion Products is excited to announce that Lane Andrews has joined our Application Engineering team. Lane recently graduated with a B.S. in Mechatronic Engineering from California State University, Chico, where he developed his interest in motion control programming and the optimization of automated systems. The addition of Lane into our Application Engineering department is a sign of the recent growth at Applied Motion as we continually strive to strengthen support services for our customers and sales channel partners.
We are pleased to announce the release of a new application note (APPN0048) specifically created for programmers using Python, the popular computer programming language. The application note can be used with our stepper and servo motors to quickly and efficiently integrate motion control into Python scripts and applications. The application note and its accompanying sample code guide Python programmers in sending SCL commands to one or more axes of stepper and/or servo motors.
Applied Motion Products is happy to welcome Josh Burns as our new Northwest Regional Sales Manager. Josh will be working to grow sales and support our customers across the territory including Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and British Columbia.
Applied Motion Products is pleased to announce the introduction of a closed-loop linear actuator that offers greater acceleration rates, shorter move times and higher throughput than conventional step motor-based linear actuators. Creating peak torques up to 50% higher than holding torque, TBSM11 Linear Actuators accelerate and decelerate faster, making them ideal for high throughput processes that require linear actuators to start and stop quickly.
Applied Motion is thrilled to announce our new employee Jesse Barr to the team as Application Engineer – Servo Products. Before joining Applied Motion, Jesse worked in industrial automation and aerospace industries. There he worked on a variety of servo controlled applications across North America supporting new and existing applications that ranged from a single axis to over 70 axes of motion. Before beginning his professional career, Jesse received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Servo systems need not be complex. From the initial step of selecting servo components to the final steps of creating motion, the process can be broken down into a set of easily identifiable instructions. Whether you’re new to servo systems or a servo veteran, this webinar will provide you with necessary information to make your next servo project a success.
We are pleased to announce reduced pricing on a number of Stepper Drives and Integrated Stepper Motors from our standard offering. These products are ideal for applications requiring advanced microstepping performance using basic step & direction control signals. In most cases these drives and integrated steppers can be setup and configured with on-board dip or rotary switches alone; no software required.
Applied Motion Products, Inc. is pleased to announce the expansion of the STR Stepper Drive offering with the release of new drives designed for use in AC powered applications. STR stepper drives are designed for smooth motion and high torque over a wide speed range, bringing high performance motion control to basic step & direction applications. Two new AC powered STRAC drives expand the offering to cover larger motors and applications where maximum power is required.
