Applied Motion is pleased to announce the addition of an encoder option to our IP65 rated stepping motors. We accomplish an IP65 rating of the encoder by enclosing it in a metal cover with an integrated o-ring for added protection. This provides the necessary protection to meet industry standard IP65 requirements. Both the motor and encoder leads have cable glands for seal tight protection. All in all, these features contribute to an excellent design where protection of the motor and encoder are of paramount concern.

The BD5 is a brushless DC motor drive that is based on advanced control technology featuring excellent performance and ease of use. The drive is aimed at OEM applications that require high performance, high speed stability, basic speed control and low cost.

Applied Motion Products is pleased to announce the addition of NEMA size 23, 24 and 34 stepper motors with IP65 ratings for operation in severe environmental conditions. These new models, dust proof and resistant to low pressure water jets, are ideal for applications in wet factory environments such as the food and beverage industry or outdoor use. Key features include a nickel plated brass cable gland, sealed laminations, a front shaft contact seal and an optional IP65 rated encoder cover for use with products that require feedback.
